While I was doing Christmas shopping a couple days ago, a girl in line said to me that two weeks before a guy followed her home and threatened to rob her in front of her home. She called the Dallas police immediately and filed a police report, and thankfully nobody was hurt; but what truly troubled her is knowing that this person was still out there.
It is very crucial to remember as the holidays approach that crime is rising; why risk letting someone steal your valuables or risk your family's safety by not properly securing your property?.
Here are just a few ways to show you how a home security system can benefit you and your family this holiday season -
- Monitor your home while you are out of town visiting friends and family during the holidays. This helps keep peace of mind knowing that you'll be notified instantly if something is wrong- also a great way to protect all the expensive Christmas gifts.
- Protect your Christmas presents. You might have just bought a TV or a new computer as a holiday gift for someone. Be sure not to place these expensive presents under the Christmas tree until the night before Christmas. Most of all arm your alarm system when you're away.
- Control your security system remotely from work, the mall, or anywhere you have your cell phone or computer. You can utilize the system features remotely from your smart phone or computer; making it simple for you to disarm the security system for your house sitter or cleaner while you're out.
- Get notifications when your family arrives home from school or work to know that they're safe and sound. Keeping an eye on your house until you are home is a smart way to keep an eye on your little ones. You can assign a user code specifically for each person who uses the system. That way you know when they get in the house and when they leave the house.
- Set up reminders to arm or disarm your system in case you forget. This is very useful when you're rushing out the door to all holiday parties and family gatherings.
Home owners of Dallas find it smarter to be investing in protecting homes rather than paying the consequences later. All it takes is one terrifying event to ruin the holidays and maybe more. And that's why Dallas home security is our top priority.
